This is o-sechi ryori, or New Year's breakfast. The pink and white stuff on the right is kamaboko (fish cake), below that is datemaki and shrimp and fish, the center has Rie's homemade kurikinton (chestnuts and sweet potatoes, yum) on the left, black beans on the right, with lotus root and fish eggs on the bottom (l-r). The left has ham, egg roll (tamago yaki), and gobo, a root, rolled up in seaweed. In one word, yum.
